Sofia: History Worth Knowing

Sofia, Bulgaria is the cheapest flight from Athens. That is the only reason why I went, but I am so glad that I traveled to this city. I struggled not knowing the language or the alphabet and my interactions with locals was minimal. When I did interact with locals, in English, I felt welcomed and learned so much. I had some of the best coffee of my life at Dabov Specialty Coffee and their baristas gave me my own personal lecture on coffee which I enjoyed. I had some incredible food and overall just enjoyed the relax feeling of this city.

I never do tours but this is a city I knew NOTHING about. The free walking tour provided in Sofia is top notch, and I truly learned so much about this country and city. Sofia is worth going to and worth taking that history tour.
