At the Docks
A lot of the beginnings of Boston came from the sea. Immigrants traveled to Boston via the sea, the Boston Tea Party happened in this harbor, and so much of the early economy of the city was based on naval trade. The Boston Harbor is a staple to Boston's character and history.
Honestly, I have not spent a whole lot of time in the Seaport District of Boston. This area of Boston is booming as of late- a ton of infrastructure is being designed and created along the waterfront. Although a lot is being built around the seaport area, there is still something inherently peaceful about the water. In a city that has a whole lot of hustle and bustle, the sea breeze and calming waves will put anyone into their zen mode. To be at the docks is an escape of city life.
This week my community will be the city of Boston. I will traveling around the city engaging the people and buildings around me! Follow #engagethecommunity for the latest updates!
