Big Changes and Some Big Adventures

If you look around, you can tell there is a lot of new additions to this website, including the name! I won't go into a lot of details about the whole website but I am excited to launch myself not only as a writer but also as an artist on multiple platforms of media.

One year ago, I was adventuring in Zurich as I auditioned for Ballet Zurich. Photos from that adventure are right here. I am not returning to Europe this year to audition but I am excited to announce that I will be going to San Francisco this Sunday, February 28th. I will be leaving in the morning, arriving in San Francisco, adventure, audition for Ballet Arizona, then go home that night. I will do that again the next Saturday, March 5th, for Ballet Austin. I have only been in California for 13 hours during a layover in L.A. So San Francisco is obviously a new city for me! I will be in San Francisco for a very short time but I am trying to adventure as much as possible to really get the most out of the trip to the city.

Adventuring to a new city is definitely exciting but I am truly there for auditions. These auditions are really big for me. I have been worried about what auditions I can do and what opportunities will come from all my efforts in sending out my audition material. My last post was all about the doubt of auditioning that can creep into my mind. These auditions in San Francisco give me vision and honestly give me excitement for the future. The idea of traveling gives me chills and to go out of Seattle to audition gives me a little momentum. This momentum is key. Am I nervous for the auditions? Yes. BUT. I am physically going out to chase my dreams. Mentally, I feel great about traveling and putting myself as a dancer out there in front of random people.

No matter what happens, I will be proud about the fact that I would have just traveled to San Francisco and back home in one day. A one day trip to San Francisco just sounds sweet. This odyssey of chasing my dreams is hard and difficult but the adventures and stories are so worth it! I can't wait to be a tourist for a day this Sunday. You will hear for me very soon! Until then, make sure to check out the rest of my new website.
